Joanna Jedrzejczyk Show Off Her World Class Skills At UFC Fight Night 69

UFC Fight Night 69 took place this past Saturday night, (June 20, 2015) at O2 World in Berlin, Germany and aired exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk (10-0) is currently undefeated and in her last six bouts, she has finished two of them by knockout. She beat Karla Benitez in May of 2014 by unanimous decision, then knocked out Rosi Sexton in June of 2014. She made her UFC debut against Julian Del Lima Carneiro in July of 2014 by unanimous decision, then beat Claudia Gadelha in December of 2014 by split decision and then knocked out Carla Esparza at UFC 185 by second-round to become champion. She finished Jessica Penne in the third round by referee stoppage at UFC Fight Night 69.
Jessica Penne (12-3) is currently on a one-fight losing streak. In her last six bouts, she’s 4-2. She beat Lia Ellis in April of 2012 by third-round TKO then Naho Sugiyama in October of 212 by second-round triangle choke. She then lost to Michelle Waterson in April of 2013 by fourth round armbar, but rebounded with a win over Nicdali Rivera-Calanoc in July of 2013 by first-round RNC. She made her UFC debut in December of 2014 with a split decision win over Randa Markos. She lost to Joanna Jedrzejczyk in the third round by referee stoppage at UFC Fight Night 69.
Here’s the play-by-play results:

Round 1: Penne forces the action early, she clinches with Jedrzejczyk and puts her on the fence. Jedrzejczyk blitzed her with strikes. Penne once again clinched and looked for the takedown. Jedrzejczyk dropped her with a big right hand, she swarms her with strikes, but couldn’t finish. Jedrzejczyk stood up and landed some leg kicks. Penne got to her feet to end the round.

Round 2: Jedrzejczyk with a series of head kicks to start the round. Jedrzejczyk balsts Penne with strikes and Penne is bleeding heavily from the noise. Penne clinches and puts Jedrzejczyk on the fence. Jedrzejczyk separates and continues to put Penne on blast. Jedrzejczyk with a series of elbows and Penne continues to bleed.

Round 3: Jedrzejczyk blitzed her again and Penne dropped to one knee. Penne’s top has turned white to red. Penne shot in, but Jedrzejczyk tossed her to the side and landed some big combo strikes. After Jedrzejczyk lite her up again up against the fence, the referee stopped the fight.
