Julianna Pena believes Ronda Rousey ‘has not faced a fighter like her before’

#13th ranked Julianna Pena meets Milana Dudieva tomorrow morning at UFC Fight Night 63 and  revealed that she is consumed by Ronda Rousey.

“I think Ronda is great,” Pena said. “In one sense, she’s my hero. She’s put women’s MMA on the map and I think she is a fantastic athlete, a fantastic fighter.”

Julianna Pena (5-2) 2 KOs, 3 Subs & 0 Decision wins. She is 3-2 in her last five fights and is currently on a one fight winning streak. She beat Stephanie Webber second round armbar in December of 2009 and then beat Rachel Swatez by guillotine choke in the second round back in December of 2011. She then lost to Sarah Moras by doctor stoppage in April of 2012 and then again to Deanna Bennett in February of 2013 by unanimous decision. She made her UFC debut at TUF 18 Finale in November of 2013 and beat Jessica Rakoczy by 1st round TKO.

“I’ve gotta believe I can beat anybody on any given day. Not only that, I’m not afraid of Ronda. I think that’s the difference between a lot of the opponents she’s faced. She’s been so much the bully in the situation. No, I’m the bully. She just hasn’t faced a fighter like me before.”

Rousey meets Beth Correira at UFC 190 and will defend her Bantamweight title.

UFC Fight Night 63 goes down on April 4, 2015 at the Patriot Center in  Fairfax, Virginia and will air on Fox Sports 1.
