Maryna Moroz Believes She Has Earned A Title Shot Following UFC Fight Night 64

Maryna Moroz defeated Joanne Calderwood via submission (armbar) – Round 1, 1:30 on the first fight of the main card of UFC Fight Night 64.

“I consider myself to be ready to be able to already fight for the title,” Moroz said at the event’s post-fight press conference. “I think I showed in this fight that I’m ready to be able to get the win.”

Maryna Moroz (6-0) 1 KOs, 5 Subs & 0 Decision wins. She is obviously undefeated and has finished all of her bouts. In her last six bouts, she finished two of them by knockout and four of them by submission. She beat Yana Kuzioma in November of 2013 by second round armbar, Feier Huang by first round armbar in June of 2014 and then Jin Tang in August of 2014 by first round armbar. In her next two bouts, she beat Ilona Avdeeva in September of 2014 by first round TKO and then Karine Silva in November of 2014 by first round armbar. UFC Fight Night 64 was her UFC debut and beat Joanne Calderwood by first round armbar.

“I would prefer the next one to be for the championship,” Moroz said.

UFC Fight Night 64 took place on Saturday (April 11) at Krakow Arena in Krakow, Poland on UFC Fight Pass.

UFC Fight Night 64 drew an announced attendance of 10,000 for a live gate of $720,000.
