Report: Bellator to replace Bjorn Rebney with Scott Coker

MMA reporter Josh Gross reported on his twitter account that he is hearing from several sources that former Strikeforce owner and CEO Scott Coker is replacing Bjorn Rebney and an announcement is imminent. Ariel Helwani is also reporting the same thing on MMAFighting.com.

Ariel Helwani is reporting that the plan is to announce the change later this week. However, Rebney is not going to cede control easily.

Coker, who has been under a non compete that expired in March, has not been seen much since UFC purchased Strikeforce in 2011.

Rebney and Viacom have not seen eye to eye. Rebney has taken some criticism for hanging on to the tournament format, issues with fighter contracts, and some criticism for signing older stars like Rampage Jackson and Tito Ortiz.
