Urijah Faber says he wouldn’t mind fighting Conor McGregor’ next

Urijah Faber is scheduled to face Frankie Edgar on May 16th and the the fight could lead to the winner of Conor McGregor – Jose Aldo at UFC 189 for the Featherweight title. Faber recently spoke about McGregor – Aldo fight.

“I wouldn’t mind fighting Conor,” said Faber. “I’ll tell you what — he’s got something that a lot of guys don’t have. Something a guy like me doesn’t have, a guy like Chad Mendes doesn’t have, a guy like Frankie Edgar doesn’t have, and that’s the instincts and willingness to give up when he’s about to get knee barred. I wouldn’t give up. Come on … His knee was in danger of having some pain inflicted on it and he was like, ‘I’m out.'”

If either Faber or Edgar win the fight impressively, they could earn a title shot against either Aldo or McGregor.

UFC Fight Night 66 takes place on May 15 at SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Philippines. The event airs on FOX Sports 1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass.

UFC 189 takes place on July 11, 2015 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
