WATCH: Official poster for UFC 229 Conor McGregor vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov revealed

Conor McGregor’s return to the UFC is on the horizon.

“The Notorious” has been on a two-year layoff from Octagon action since November of 2016. He last defeated Eddie Alvarez in the UFC’s first-ever event from Madison Square Garden in New York City. McGregor secured a second round knockout to become the UFC’s first dual-weight champion in history. During his hiatus, the Irishman was stripped of both his featherweight and lightweight titles.

Now he’ll return to the cage in October to challenge undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov for the 155-pound championship he never lost. Nurmagomedov and McGregor have some serious personal issues between one another. McGregor was actually arrested back in April for attacking a fighter bus with a dolly that Khabib was on. Now they’ll get the opportunity to settle the score inside the Octagon.

The pay-per-view goes down live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 6th. The UFC released the official posted for the PPV on Twitter today. Check it out here:
