After his knockout win on Saturday night, Tito Ortiz said that he hoped to see Chuck Liddell fight again for Golden Boy MMA. Ortiz has changed his tune and is now saying that another fight for Liddell is not a good idea. He also says he feels bad about digging a pretend grave after his win.
TMZ Sports asked Ortiz if he would like to fight Liddell one more time. “I would love to [but] physically, I don’t think he should [fight again].” Ortiz said. “I’m not even going to say I will fight him again because I don’t think he should.”
Ortiz was thankful for the opportunity to fight Liddell and regrets his post-fight antics but he acted that way because this was personal for him because of things that were said before the fight. He added, “Chuck Liddell was a great champion, he was a great fighter, a great man, great father, and I’m thankful that he gave me the opportunity.”
Ortiz said that he is probably done fighting but plans on staying in the business in some fashion.
