Welterweight Bout announced for UFC Fight Night 72

​UFC officials continue to add bouts to their Fight Night 72 event as the Igor Araujo (25-7 MMA, 2-1 UFC) is set to take on Sean Strickland (15-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) in a welterweight bout.

The event goes down on July 15 at San Diego’s Valley View Casino Center.

The other bout that was announced for the event is Tony Ferguson (18-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC) vs. Josh Thomson (20-7 MMA, 3-3 UFC). That fight was announced on Monday.

While no broadcast plans have been announced by the UFC, the main card is expected to air on Fox Sports 1 and the prelims to air on Fox Sports 1 as well as UFC Fight Pass.
