A Lot of Ideas for Anarchy in the Arena Match at AEW Double or Nothing Were Shut Down

The Elite (Kenny Omega, Young Bucks, and Hangman Page) vs. The Blackpool Combat Club (Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta) in the Anarchy in the Arena Match took place at the AEW Double or Nothing event from Las Vegas, Nevada.

This match had a lot of wild moments where they used various weapons, and a lot of blood was shed. The finish saw Konosuke Takeshita come out to hit Omega with a knee strike, leading to Yuta pinning Omega.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that AEW didn’t have the same amount of preparation time that they had for last year’s match at the T-Mobile Arena due to the Las Vegas Golden Knights game the night before DON.

They came in the night before for last year’s match to scout the arena for ideas, something they couldn’t do this year. Also, several ideas were nixed ahead of time.

Meltzer wrote, “In addition, the T Mobile Arena gave the company limitations for the match and a lot of ideas were shut down by the building because of things that happened in last year’s match.”
