A new tag team will be joining the WWE SmackDown roster.
After last night’s show, WWE posted a video on their social media accounts of Cedric Alexander and Ashante “Thee” Adonis joining forces as a team. The team said that they are putting the rest of the teams on the roster on notice and they mentioned Pretty Deadly, The Judgment Day, and The OC as teams that they’re coming after. Adonis suggested “Rags and Riches” as the name of their team.
WWE creative hasn’t had much for Adonis and Alexander since their respective factions split up. Alexander was previously in The Hurt Business stable and he’s a former tag team champion. Adonis was previously in Hit Row. The group was split up after Top Dolla was released and B-Fab was moved into Bobby Lashley’s stable.
Alexander and Adonis came through the NXT system and are believed to be Triple H guys. Alexander was signed several years back after impressive performances in the Cruiserweight Classic and fans chanted for Triple H to sign him to a contract.
