A top female star in WWE may be turning heel soon.
It was reported today by PWInsider that there has been a pitch to turn Asuka heel and there has been talk about Asuka challenging Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship at Night of Champions.
At the moment, there is no word on if the heel turn will happen but if there’s a pitch for a match against Belair at Night of Champions, then it seems likely to happen because babyface vs. babyface feuds are rare in WWE. Asuka wrestled and lost to Belair at WrestleMania and during the build-up they hinted at Asuka going down a darker path.
In other roster news…Internally, WWE has listed Edge, Bobby Lashley, AJ Styles, Sheamus, Rey Mysterio, and Santos Escobar as the top babyfaces on the SmackDown roster.
The top SmackDown heels are listed as Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, Austin Theory, Karrion Kross, LA Knight, and Grayson Waller.
There are “free agents” that have yet to be assigned to a specific brand.
