After months of speculation, The Devil was finally revealed at the end of the AEW Worlds End pay-per-view.
Adam Cole walked down to ringside on crutches to show his support for MJF during his title defense against Samoa Joe. Late in the match, Cole was late giving the diamond ring to MJF and Joe took advantage and choked MJF out to win the title.
After the match, Cole got in the ring and seemed to be giving words of encouragement to MJF but then the lights went out and the masked men showed up and teased attacking both MJF and Cole. The lights went out again and Cole was shown seated in a chair and it was clear at that moment that he is the Devil. The other men under the masks revealed themselves to be Wardlow and The Kingdom.
This is clearly the start of a feud between MJF and Cole for whenever Cole is healed up from his ankle injury. MJF has talked about being banged up so we might not see him on TV for a while. While many believe he has re-signed, MJF has stated that he has not yet signed a new deal with AEW so it will be interesting to see what’s next for him and how it all plays out.
