Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee put their AEW World Tag Team Titles on the line against The Acclaimed at AEW All Out.
About mid-way through the match, Bowens tried a move from the second rope but his knee buckled. The injury became a factor for the rest of the match between Lee and Strickland worked over Bowens’ left knee.
Towards the end of the match, Lee accidentally hit Swerve with a shoulder tackle. Lee fought his way back and he set up for a move off the top but The Acclaimed turned it around and they did a superplex off the top rope. Swerve got in and hit the double stomp to Bowens but Bowens kicked out.
The fans turned on Lee and Strickland at the start and The Acclaimed came across as massive babyfaces. Late in the match, Caster hit the F5 on Lee, Bownes hit The Arrival and Caster hit the Mic Drop but Swerve was barely able to kick out. Lee took an accidentally kick from Swerve. That led to a near fall from Bowens on Swerve. Lee ultimately pinned Bowens after a double team move.
Fans chanted “bullsh*t” at the finish. After the match, both teams did the scissor hand gesture to show respect.
