AEW announcer Taz fires back at fans telling wrestlers and promoters “how to do it”

Taz got over with his technical wrestling style in ECW and WWE during his career and later found success as an announcer. After seeing fans offer their opinions about how to run the pro wrestling business, the AEW announcer got tired of reading these tweets.

In a post on Twitter, he clapped back at fans talking about what promoters should or should not do and how wrestlers should work but have never even seen a ring in real life. He noted that he is still trying to make sense of stuff that goes down behind the scenes.

“Everyone is entitled to opinions & many folks r passionate fans, thats great! But, the bulk never been NEAR a ring (never the less in 1), I’ve been in this game bulk of my adult life & at times I’m still trying to figure it out! But expert fan or podcaster HAS it down? Stop.”

After this tweet, one fan chimed in by noting that not being in the pro wrestling business doesn’t disqualify you from having an opinion on wrestling.

Taz responded to a fan by noting they had completely misinterpreted his statement. And he went on to clarify that having an opinion is fine, but they shouldn’t tell those who have been in wrestling for years how to operate.

“What I said went RIGHT OVER YOUR HEAD. I AM an expert, earned for decades of lots of sacrifice & struggles.Been in rooms with the best of the best in ring & bookers discussing this biz for years.Having an opinion is GOOD, telling people that LIVE this how to do it, is ridiculous.”
