Jericho Appreciation Society Mandatory Meeting

Our live coverage begins at 8PM EST

In the ring, The Jericho Appreciation Society is in the ring. Chris Jericho made his way down and told them they came to the ring and didn’t even tell him, but that’s fine. He said I know there’s some unrest here which is why I came down here as their friend. Daniel Garcia said I thought I was ready to have a civil conversation with you until I saw you for the first time since last week after I got hit in the head with a baseball bat and you took advantage of me. I changed who I was for you and turned my back on my friends. I chose you every single time and I can’t understand why you never choose us and because of that, I can’t do this anymore. Garcia walked out of the ring. Jake Hager told Jericho I’ve known you the longest and you’ve made me a lot of money, but if we have to cut ties tonight, that’s okay because everyone knows we have a lot of options and I liked that hat. I want everyone to know I don’t appreciate Jericho. Hager left the ring. Tay Melo told Jericho I used to be proud to be in a group with you, but not anymore. You can’t make a decision so I will. I will go have my baby, come back next year and be a champion without you because I quit. Anna Jay told Jericho you’ve helped us out a little bit, but you helped yourself out more than any one of us here. Tonight, I’m being selfish and I’ve learned from the best. Tonight is about winning the World Women’s Championship and it’s not about appreciating you, and she walked out. Angelo Parker said he doesn’t want to be doing this right now. He loves being a sports entertainer. I’ve given you everything and fought every battle with you, but what have you given me. I don’t want to do this, but you’ve given me no choice. I have nothing left to give you, and he walked out. Matt Menard said Jericho was his childhood hero. When his wife was eight months pregnant and he had no job, Jericho heard his story and invited him into his home. He helped me get into AEW and took him under his wing. These 18 months have been a dream. He said it never sat right why guys he came up with like Eddie Kingston and Kevin Steen hate his guts, but now he’s starting to understand why, and he walked off. Sammy Guevera told Jericho I had your back from the beginning. I’m loyal, so I’m not going to walk out on you because I’m your friend. I did all these things because deep down, I always thought you would do them for me, but maybe I was wrong. It seems like you have a lot of things to work out, and if you do, maybe I’ll be here, and he walked off.

 Backstage, Don Callis told Jericho I’m sorry if I played any role in this. Jericho said it’s fine and I have an answer on whether I’m going to join your family. We’ll announce it next week.

The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) (w/ Brandon Cutler) vs The Hardys (w/ Brother Zay & Ethan Page)

Jeff gave Nick a stunner sending him into Matt Hardy who gave him the Twist of Fate. Nick superkicked Matt. Jeff went to the top rope, but Nick kicked him in the leg. The Bucks then gave Matt a double knee strike to the face and Matt Jackson pinned him. The two teams shook hands and hugged.
===Winner: The Young Bucks

After the match, Matt Jackson took the microphone and said FTR. Immediately, FTR came to the ring. Matt said All In, so the match between them will take place at Wembley Stadium.

Last week, Adam Cole took MJF to a trampoline park. MJF was not excited until he heard they have dodgeball there. He proceeded to hit the kids with the dodgeball while insulting them. A little girl came up to Adam Cole and called him a nerd. Cole told her she shouldn’t talk like that and she gave him the finger. As she walked away, Cole told MJF one more, and MJF threw the ball at her off camera.

Backstage, Dean Ambrose said whoever the Best Friends are tonight, I hope they learned their lesson. Tonight Penta and Phoenix challenged them to a tag team match. Claudio Castagnoli told Pac that he told him he would pay and he did. Wheeler Yuta said Pac’s injury will keep him out of Wembley.

FTW Championship Match under FTR rules:
Jack Perry (Champion) vs Rob Van Dam

Perry threw a chair at RVD, but RVD ducked and the chair hit the referee who got knocked out. RVD hit the 5-Star Frog splash on Perry, but the referee was still out. Another referee came in to make a two-count. As RVD argued with her that it was a three-count, Perry gave him a low blow and threw him into the chair that was between the corner turnbuckles and rolled him up for the pin.
===Winner: Jack Perry

Backstage, Pentagon and Fenix said they will defeat the Blackpool Combat Club tonight.

In the ring, Adam Cole told MJF that he would love to win the ROH World Tag Team Championships because he owes his career to ROH and that is the only ROH title he hasn’t captured. He asked MJF to team with him at Wembley on the Zero Hour before headlining the show against each other later in the show. MJF agreed and challenged Aussie Open for their ROH Tag Team titles. Roderick Strong came out and told Cole I can’t believe you want to win the titles with MJF and not your real friend, me. MJF told Strong he’s tired of him and his jealousy. Strong told Cole that the Kingdom was right about you that you were never my friend. The Kingdom came out and hugged Strong. Cole pushed MJF and said I’m your friend, but Strong is my friend also. MJF looked mad and Cole apologized for pushing him and they hugged. MJF told him he’s right and to go check on his boy.

Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli (w/ Wheeler Yuta) vs (The Lucha Brothers) Penta & Fenix (w/ Alex Abrahantes)

Fenix and Penta combined to give Moxley a spike piledriver for a two-count. They went for it again, but Yuta interfered. Abrahantes pulled Yuta away. Yuta grabbed Abrahantes by his jacket, but Fenix came off the top rope onto Yuta. Claudio pulled the mask off Penta and Moxley rolled him up for the pin. After the match, Moxley put a chokehold on Penta while Yuta beat up Fenix and Claudio put Penta’s mask on. Claudio left with Penta’s mask.
===Winners: Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli

In the back, Kenny Omega said next week he will be discussing his plans for Wembley Stadium

In the ring, Swerve Strickland said nobody is going to do anything about his actions last week with Nick Wayne because the Mogul Embassy is above the law. AR Fox called out Darby Allin. Allin came out and told Fox to tell the whole story. Darby said I tried to call you, but you would never answer. I lived with you and your demons. I tried to help you more than anybody. There’s only one person that could save you and that was you, so I had to leave. You got to AEW all by yourself. I didn’t even have to put the word in. So this is about me putting in the word for Nick Wayne. He told Fox I respect you and I will always credit you for changing my life. It looks like you have some new friends, but I have friends too. The lights went out, they came back on, and Sting was in the ring chasing off the Embassy with his bat. This left Strickland alone in the ring and Sting struck him with the bat in his stomach. Sting pointed his bat at the Wembley Stadium sign which signified him challenging him to a match.

AEW Women’s Championship Match
===Hikaru Shida vs Anna Jay (w/ Matt Menard & Angelo Parker)

Jay locked the Queenslayer on Shida. Shida carried her to the second turnbuckle and dropped backwards on her. Shida gave Jay the Falcon Arrow for a two-count. Shida hit Jay with a knee strike and pinned her.
===Winner: Hikaru Shida
