AEW is on course for a sell-out when it hosts the next pay-per-view event on the docket for them, Dynasty, following the big success of Revolution earlier this month
The event
The promotion will host its Dynasty event from Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, MO, on Sunday, April 21. This is the inaugural event as the promotion continues to increase the number of events they present every year, with more coming.
The promotion has already confirmed the first match for the show with Bryan Danielson vs. Will Ospreay. Based on what AEW has been teasing on television, it looks like the promotion will add AEW World Heavyweight Champion Samoa Joe vs. Swerve Strickland, Kazuchika Okada vs. Pac for the Continental Title, Mercedes Mone against TBS Champion Julia Hart or Willow Nightingale, Toni Storm defending the Women’s Title against Thunder Rosa, and The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn vs. Jay White & Gunn Brothers for the Trios Title. There will also be the finals of the Tag Team Title Tournament, where new champions will be crowned.
Tickets
WrestleTix, which does a great job of tracking ticket sales, reports the show sold 5,321 with 783 left for a current set up of 6,104. They last drew 3,109 fans for a January 20th Collision episode.
More tickets may be released as they open the venue up more. AEW’s highest-attended show at the venue was in November 2021 for a Rampage episode that drew 5,333 fans.
