Claudio Castagnoli vs. Buddy Matthews took place at the AEW Full Gear 2023 pay-per-view event from Los Angeles, Clianfora at the Kia Forum.
They went back and forth early before brawling on the floor. Buddy caught him with a clothesline off the top rope. Claudio was selling his hamstring. They exchanged near falls. Claudio with a double foot stomp on the apron before going to the top rope where Buddy sent him head first into the turnbuckle and then hit a powerbomb for 2. Claudio with a powerslam then locked in the sharpshooter for the win.
