Tonight’s show features Darby Allin defending his TNT Championship against Juice Robinson. Kings of the Black Throne vs Eddie Kingston and Ortiz. Ruby Soho and Willow Nightingale take on Tay Melo and Ana Jay in a Street Fight.
TNT Championship: Darby Allin ( c ) vs Juice Robinson
Juice Robinson gave Darby Allin the jackhammer, but Darby kicked out. He set Darby up on the top rope and tried to give him a superplex, but Darby countered it in mid-air and gave him a scorpion death drop. Darby then went to the top rope and gave Juice a coffin drop and pinned him. Sting came down to the ring to congratulate Darby
Backstage segment:
Powerhouse Hobbs said that the good book mentioned that the phoenix rose from the ashes, but he took that phoenix and broke its neck. He took the ashes just like his hopes and dreams were taken from him and he’s going to spread those ashes over everybody he’s going to hurt in AEW.
The Acclaimed interview:
The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn were putting their fingers in the cement to cement their legacy. This brought out The Gunn Club. They said The Acclaimed are not stars and they are only popular because they stole their dad from them. Billy Gunn told them to do what they need to do. As the Gunn Club was going to put their hands in the cement, The Acclaimed pulled The Gunns pants down and Billy pushed them ass first into the cement.
Backstage Interview: Swerve Strickland the Mogul Affiliate
Strickland said The Mogul Affiliate is going to be the most violent and gruesome group ever in AEW
Kings of the Black Throne (Brody King and Malakai Black) vs Eddie Kingston and Ortiz
Eddie Kingston looked like he didn’t want to make the tag to Ortiz. Kingston hit a Saito suplex on Black. Buddy Murphy ran down the aisle with a chair and slid in the ring, but Kingston stopped him and grabbed the chair. Julia Hart got in the ring, but Kingston prevented her from doing anything while holding the chair in his hands. Ortiz then came in and took the chair from Kingston thinking Kingston was going to hit Hart with it. Black came in with a spinning kick, but Ortiz ducked and it hit Kingston. Black then pinned Kingston for the victory. Ortiz walked out of the ring in frustration.
Backstage interview: Jade Cargill
Jade said Red Velvet is somebody she made and is jealous of Layla who is better than she will ever be. Layla said Red Velvet is out and she’s in.
In ring interview: Paul Walter Hauser
Hauser said he loves professional wrestling. Danhausen came out. He said he also won an award and it was for being the number one merchandise seller in AEW. Jeff Jarrett, Sonjay Dutt, Jay Lethal, and Satnam Singh came into the ring. Hauser told Jarrett he’s never played the guitar that he carries. Dutt grabbed Hauser and Hauser punched him. Lethal then decked Hauser. Singh pinned Danhausen in the corner. Lethal and Dutt held Hauser while Jarrett hit him over the head with a guitar. Lethal was then going to hit Danhausen with Hauser’s Golden Globe when Orange Cassidy and The Best Friends came in causing Jarrett’s group to bail, but not before stealing the Golden Globe.
Ruby Soho and Willow Nightingale vs Tay Melo and Ana Jay in a Street Fight
Soho and Willo attacked Melo and Jay at the top of the entrance to start the match. We immediately had trash cans, chairs, and barb wire introduced into the match. Soho was a bloody mess. Willow and Jay fought back up the ramp and Willow powerbombed her off the ramp through a table. Melo and Soho were fighting on the ring apron and Melo gave her a piledriver through the table. Melo got a bag of thumbtacks and emptied them in the ring. Melo went to give Soho a piledriver on them, but Soho blocked it. Melo tried to shove Soho’s face in the tacks, but Soho grabbed a handful of them and threw them in Melo’s face. Soho gave her the Destination Unknown into the tacks and pinned her.
