AEW World Heavyweight Champion Samoa Joe vs. Hangman Page vs. Swerve Strickland took place at the AEW Revolution 2024 pay-per-view event from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC.
The challengers went after each other before tossing Joe to the floor. Joe got back into the fight and took charge. Joe headbutted Strickland from the top rope to the floor. Strickland and Page double powerbombed Joe. Page with a tombstone to Strickland for 2. Swerve with a 450 splash to Joe off the top rope. Swerve with the stomp for 2. Page with a title shot to the face of Strickland while the referee was out. Page with the deadeye twice to Joe, but the referee took long to count the pin attempt. Strickland hit a sky twister dive to break up the submission hold Joe had on Page. Strickland rolled up Joe, but Page attacked the referee and tossed him to the floor. Strickland took out Page before Joe laid out Strickland. Joe put in the rear-naked choke on Page, who tapped out.
