AEW sent out a legal letter to warn WWE about contract tampering

There’s been a lot of backstage AEW news in recent weeks and one of the stories that broke on Wednesday came from something that Tony Khan said while addressing the roster.

PWInsider stated that Khan started out by talking about the expansion of talent relations and development and he added that those things are in place to help make things better for the talent. Tony Schiavone and Aubrey Edwards gave a rundown on last week’s “AEW Unrestricted” podcast about their duties behind-the-scenes. Schiavone noted that when he’s walking around backstage, he will talk to talent to find out what can be done for them.

Khan added, per PWInsider sources, that AEW’s Chief Legal Officer Megha Parekh emailed WWE’s Nick Khan and Stephanie McMahon to warn them not to tamper with AEW talent. The email reportedly was sent just before Tony Khan’s talent meeting. Sean Ross Sapp recently reported that WWE reached out to a contracted AEW talent.

Additionally, while no details are out on what was said, it was reported that Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, Tony Schiavone and Chris Jericho spoke during the meeting.

More details will be posted soon.
