AEW Star Dealing With Work Visa Issue

Because AEW has so many wrestlers under contract, it can be hard to know exactly why someone is not being used whether that be due to an injury, lack of creative or another reason.

This is a station that Riho found herself in as of late. She was the first-ever Women’s Champion in the promotion’s history when she beat Nyla Rose on October 2, 2019, on the premiere edition of AEW Dynamite.

Her reign lasted 133 days before dropping the title to Rose in February 2020. Riho last wrestled at AEW Dynamite Big Business last month, where she came up short to Willow Nightingale.

As seen below, Riho noted in an Instagram Story that she is currently in Japan while she attempts to renew her work visa to work in the United States. Until she can get that resolved, she can’t work in the country.

As of this writing, it’s unclear when she will be free and clear to do that.
