AEW star files trademark for old ring name

Jack Perry has locked down his past ring name.

The name

The AEW wrestler had attorney Michael Dockins file trademarks with the USPTO for the purposes of entertainment and merchandise services on December 12 for “Jack Perry” and “Jungle Boy.” As a babyface, he originally went by the Jungle Boy moniker before using his real name as a heel. Here is the description:

“Mark For: JUNGLE BOY™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of hats; Shirts; Bandanas; Shirts and short-sleeved shirts; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts.”

Where has he been?

The physical altercation at AEW All In between Jack Perry and CM Punk months ago resulted in Perry being suspended and Punk released. Their issues dated back a few weeks prior to when Punk told Perry that he shouldn’t use real glass for an angle.

Perry’s last match was at All In as he wrestled in an FTW Title match with HOOK, where he Perry did a spot on the windshield of a limo before he stated to the camera that it was real glass and cry me a river, a reference to a previously reported incident between Perry and Punk.

Perry is reportedly no longer suspended, although there’s been no word yet on when he will return.
