All Elite Wrestling will be without one of its stars going forward.
This comes at a time when the promotion is coming out of the Dynasty pay-per-view event and looking to build momentum for its Double or Nothing pay-per-view event next month.
Last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured IWGP World Champion Jon Moxley defending against Powerhouse Hobbs. Unfortunately, Hobbs sustained a legitimate knee injury.
His AEW journey began in 2020 when he lost his debut match to Orange Cassidy on an episode of AEW Dark. He would later be paired with Taz as part of Team Taz with Ricky Starks and Brian Cage. While with AEW, Hobbs is a former TNT Champion.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that “it’s a significant injury, and Hobbs isn’t expected back any time soon.”
We wish him a speedy recovery.
