An unfortunate incident occurred during Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite involving a fan during a singles match between Skye Blue and Rachael Ellering. As things spilled outside the ring, a fan allegedly began making inappropriate and offensive comments towards Blue.
A nearby fan confirmed that the comments were indeed made, leading Skye to address the fan by calling them a “pervert” and an “a**hole” before telling them to “f*** off.” AEW referee Aubrey Edwards called for security to intervene and speak with the fan.
It resulted in the fan being ejected from the arena after security had a conversation with them. Earlier in the night, Saraya had already pointed out that some fans sitting ringside were behaving inappropriately, referring to them as “creeps.”
Blue took to Twitter to thank people for their support in the wake of the situation. She wrote,
“I’m beyond overwhelmed with all the love and support. Thank you everyone you have no idea how much it’s appreciated. Let’s make sure the future generations of women wrestlers don’t have to deal with this shit.”
It’s worth noting that AEW has a pre-show policy that explicitly prohibits discriminatory or harassing behavior towards performers or fellow fans.
