AEW star says he can’t use his WWE finisher anymore

AEW star Andrade El Idolo first made a name for himself in the likes of NJPW, AAA, and CMLL. He then found success in WWE NXT as a former NXT Champion, although his main roster run didn’t go as he thought it should, and he requested his release before going to AEW.

El Idolo is known for his signature offense, a mix of lucha libre with strong style.

However, El Idolo has revealed a banned finisher that he used in WWE in a reply on Twitter with a fan who shared a video of his spinning back elbow from his bout against Johnny Gargano at NXT TakeOver Philadelphia.

Andrade responded that he can’t use the move anymore. It’s possible that the reason he can’t use it is due to it being similar to Chris Jericho’s finisher, Judas Effect.

El Idolo was last seen in action when he lost in the Casino Ladder Match at the All Out pay-per-view earlier this month that MJF won.
