NJPW is slated to kick off its New Japan Cup tournament, and there will be a notable AEW star in it. It all starts on March 6th with 28 wrestlers.
Shota Umino, Kenta, and Taichi are among the names in the tournament, which wraps up on March 20th. AEW’s Jack Perry will be part of it as he makes his promotional in-ring debut on the opening night when he wrestled Shota Umino in his first match since All In.
Perry hasn’t been seen or heard from since the incident with CM Punk at AEW All In last August. The incident resulted in Perry being suspended and Punk released.
Perry made his return to wrestling at the NJPW Battle in the Valley event. At the event, Perry attacked Shota Umino. Perry then ripped an AEW contract and put on an armband with “Scapegoat” on it.
There’s still no word yet on when Perry will be back in All Elite Wrestling.
