Last Sunday’s AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view event featured a loaded card with a great night of action. It will be best remembered for the night that WWE Hall of Famer Adam Copeland made his promotional debut.
Also on the card included Bryan Danielson defeating Zack Sabre Jr, The Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita, Will Ospreay, and Sammy Guevara) defeating Chris Jericho and The Golden Elite (Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi), and Christian Cage retaining the TNT Title over Darby Allin in a two out of three falls match.
Jericho & Omega vs. Takeshita & Guevara was supposed to take place on Wednesday’s Dynamite, but it was announced the match was off due to Guevara not being medically cleared.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted Guevara suffered a concussion in the WrestleDream match.
“So Sammy got a concussion on the pay-per-view. So he’s out until…it’s a concussion story. It could be next week. Who knows. But yeah, he’s out.”
