Michael Cole dropped the name of one top AEW star while mentioning Randy Orton’s impressive milestone that put him in the history books.
Drew McIntyre vs. Orton vs. Bobby Lashley vs. LA Knight vs. Kevin Owens vs. Logan Paul in the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match was booked at the WWE Elimination Chamber premium live event on Saturday from Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia, with the stipulation that the winner will challenge World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40.
In the end, it was McIntyre who came out on top after he outlasted the other competitors and eliminated Orton, whom Paul had taken out.
Cole noted Orton set a record for breaking the tie with Chris Jericho at 9 to appear in the most Elimination Chamber matches.
Jericho competed in the first three Elimination Chamber Matches, never winning them until his sixth match in 2013, which featured a star-studded lineup that included Rey Mysterio, Undertaker, and CM Punk to win the World Title. Orton won his first chamber match in his sixth match back in 2014. Check it out below:
Pretty cool of WWE to acknowledge Jericho here. pic.twitter.com/wbceIpL7PF
