AEW Worlds End results: Swerve Strickland continues to build momentum with singles win

Swerve Strickland vs. Dustin Rhodes took place at the AEW Worlds End pay-per-view event from Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York. Keith Lee was Swerve’s original opponent, but it was a late scratch as Lee is not medically cleared to compete.

The match never started as Swerve attacked him before it started. Outside of the ring, he jumped off for a double foot stomp to Rhodes’ foot as Prince Nana had a camera under it. As soon as the bell sounded, Swerve hit him with a big boot. Rhodes mounted a comeback including hitting a DDT before Swerve put him away with his double foot finisher.

Winner: Swerve Strickland
