NJPW Strong & ROH World Champion Eddie Kingston vs. ROH Pure Champion Katsuyori Shibata took place at the AEW WrestleDream 2023 pay-per-view event from Seattle, WA at Climate Pledge Arena.
This was a heavy grappling dependent match. Shibata with a series of forearm shots then a drop kick in the corner. They traded clotheslines then it turned into a slug fest. Shibata with an arm/triangle choke, but Eddie got out of it by getting to the ropes. Eddie with the northern lights power bomb for 2. Eddie with a back punch and a powerbomb for the win.
