AEW Wrestler Sidelined

Update: Charlette has since reached out to Fightful to note that her absence isn’t related to a concussion.

Original: AEW has a lot of talent under contract that is used across Dynamite, Rampage, Collision, and ROH programming.

The promotion has been praised for having one of the most stacked rosters in the history of the business while also being criticized for not using some of its stars. One wrestler hasn’t been used in a while, but that’s due to injury and not booking.

That star is Charlette Renegade, best known for being in a tag team with Robyn of The Renegades. They were trained by QT Marshall at the Nightmare Factory.

Before getting to AEW, they were the Women’s Tag Team Champions for Thunder Rosa’s Mission Pro Wrestling. They also worked for the NWA until December 2023, where they were former Women’s Tag Team Champions. Robyn first debuted for AEW at a May 2021 Dark: Elevation taping, while Charlette was brought in this past June. They both worked on several Dark tapings at Universal Studios for months.

Charlette hasn’t worked a match since December 23rd on an episode of ROH TV for a trios bout where they teamed up with Taya Valkyrie to go over Kiera Hogan, Lady Frost, and Trish Adora. Robyn has worked as a singles star since then.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Charlette has been battling concussion issues that have kept her out of action. Although she’s still working towards being cleared, there’s no timetable for her in-ring return.

We wish her a speedy recovery.
