Bandido isn’t ruling out a run in WWE one day, but for now, he is focusing on his AEW career.
Bandido received a lot of interest from AEW and WWE following his match against then-ROH World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho on an episode of AEW Dynamite last September.
The former ROH star was considering both offers before ultimately signing with AEW. The deal is reportedly for three years.
Dave Meltzer reported at the time that Bandido signed with AEW over WWE because “he’s got a child in Mexico, and his significant other doesn’t want to move from Mexico, and he doesn’t want to not see his child all the time.”
While appearing on SO CATCH by Hal 2, Bandido was asked whether he would want to go to WWE one day.
“At some point, I’d like to go to WWE. Not in this moment, but I hope later. I was in WWE. They invited me to the Performance Center,” Bandido stated. “They give me a Camaro for all my week to drive. That was amazing. I made good amigos. Chris Hero, I saw him in the Performance Center, and now he’s a really good friend. I love you, amigo. He’s very nice.”
Bandido hasn’t wrestled for AEW since working a singles match with Bryan Danielson on an episode of Dynamite this past January. Click below for the entire interview:
