AEW’s Cash Wheeler Going To Trial For Aggravated Assault With A Firearm

Cash Wheeler, real name Daniel Wheeler, is facing one count of aggravated assault with a firearm after being arrested in 2023.

A warrant for his arrest was filed on July 28 after the incident happened on July 27. He pleaded not guilty to the charge via his attorney on August 3 at his first appearance in court. All Wheeler’s firearms had to be turned over to the local sheriff’s department until the case is over.

Wheeler allegedly flashed a gun during a road rage incident. At the time, his attorney noted this was not a domestic issue and did not know the people involved. The charge is considered a third-degree felony in Florida.

According to court documents obtained by Pwinsider, Wheeler wasn’t present at his arraignment today.

The trial start date is slated for May 20th. The pre-trial will start on May 7th, when he was ordered to appear.
