Keith Lee shared some unfortunate news on Wednesday as the All Elite Wrestling star is slated to undergo not just one but two surgeries.
Lead-up
Swerve Strickland scored a win over Dustin Rhodes in a singles match at the Worlds End pay-per-view event last month after his original match with Lee was nixed. At the time of the show, it was announced Lee wasn’t medically cleared to compete.
Lee said in a tweet last month that he had been working through an injury since September 2022, and while the injury was “mostly well taken care of,” things have gotten worse since ROH Final Battle.
Lee was previously sidelined for months while in WWE after he got COVID-19 as he was informed he couldn’t wrestle or train while dealing with heart issues.
Surgeries
Lee revealed on a private account via Haus of Wrestling that he will be having two surgeries. It’s unclear what exact injuries he will be getting fixed. He provided the following statement:
“Took roughly 19 years…. but I guess it’s my turn. Time to get fixed. Here’s to double surgeries. Certainly one way to start 2024.”
We wish Lee a speedy recovery.
