AEW star Kris Statlander noted on her Instagram Stories that she underwent knee surgery on Wednesday.
She suffered a completely torn ACL and lateral meniscus. It happened on the August 5th edition of Dark, where she worked a match against Sierra. She landed wrong on her right leg after connecting with a big boot in that bout.
As previously noted, Statlander was in for a sizable push in the months ahead. The recovery from the surgery puts her out of action until February to April 2023.
This marks the second serious knee injury and surgery Statlander has suffered since debuting in AEW as she was previously sidelined with a torn left ACL in June 2020 and out of action for several months.
