AEW’s MJF joins cast of Sean Durkin’s “The Iron Claw” film about the Von Erich family

MJF is going Hollywood as the top AEW star has joined the cast of “The Iron Claw.”

The upcoming film is about the Von Erich family. Deadline reported the news today. It’s unclear what MJF’s role in the film will be, but this will mark his first feature film.

The drama is set to be financed and produced by A24, while Sean Durkin, who wrote the script, will be directing it.

The family was iconic in Texas, and while they had a ton of success in wrestling, they also experienced the lowest of the lows.

Fritz Von Erich, the father of the wrestling family, had five of his six sons predecease him. Jack Jr. was accidentally shocked and drowned in a puddle at six years old. David Von Erich died in a Tokyo hotel at the age of 25. Mike, Chris, and Kerry all committed suicide.

MJF joins a cast that includes Jeremy Allen White, Zac Efron, Harris Dickinson, Holt McCallany, Maura Tierney, and Lily James.

MJF is slated to challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Heavyweight Title in the main event of the Full Gear pay-per-view event on November 19th.
