Thunder Rosa could be headed back to the ring soon after being sidelined for over a year.
The top AEW star has been inactive with a back injury. She first had to pull out of an AEW Women’s Title defense at last year’s All Out before relinquishing the title.
Her last match saw her victorious in trios competition alongside Toni Storm and Hikaru Shida, where they beat Emi Sakura, Marina Shafir, and Nyla Rose in August 2022.
In late July, it was reported Rosa was training for her return in San Antonio with former WWE star Shochi Funaki. While away from the ring, she has done Spanish commentary for All Elite Wrestling.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Rosa could return to the ring at almost “any time,” and creative has been produced for her.
AEW sources indicated that she is ready to return, but exactly when that happens is unknown.
