Lucha Libre AAA has made a big change to Triplemanía XXX: Mexico City as Taya Valkyrie was scheduled to defend the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship against AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa at the show on October 15.
Rosa announced before AEW All Out that she is unable to compete due to a back injury. AEW has since crowned an Interim Women’s World Champion.
AAA shared a video late Friday night where NWA World Women’s Champion Kamille addressed Rosa’s injury and stated that she’s coming for Valkyrie’s title. At AAA TripleMania XXX: Mexico City, Kamille will replace Rosa to face Valkyrie for the title.
The two stars have history as Kamille defended her NWA World Women’s Championship against Valkyrie at NWA 74. Valkyrie will challenge for the title again at NWA Hard Times on November 12.
Earlier this week, Rosa provided an injury update.
