AEW’s Young Bucks abandon recent trademark filing

The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) recently filed for a new trademark, although they have decided they no longer want the term.

They filed for “The Wayward Sons” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) under Killing The Business, Inc through trademark attorney Michael E. Dockins on November 3rd for entertainment and clothing purposes.

However, they abandoned the trademark on November 15th. The document now states, “On Tuesday, November 15, 2022, status on THE WAYWARD SONS trademark changed to ABANDONED – EXPRESS.”

There has been speculation that The Young Bucks are close to making their return to AEW television.

Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks won the AEW World Trios Championships at All Out by defeating Page and The Dark Order in the tournament finals but were stripped of the titles because AEW had suspended them alongside Pat Buck, Christopher Daniels, Michael Nakazawa, and Brandon Cutler following the backstage fight involving CM Punk and Ace Steel.

AEW has been airing teaser vignettes for The Elite, who have been backstage at recent Dynamite event in recent weeks, for Saturday’s Full Gear show.
