The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Saudi Arabia has shared with the United States that they have intelligence about an imminent attack from Iran. The WSJ story states that the attacks are planned for “targets in the kingdom.”
The warning has prompted Saudi Arabia, the United States, and “several other neighboring states have raised the level of alert for their military forces.”
“We are concerned about the threat picture, and we remain in constant contact through military and intelligence channels with the Saudis,” said a National Security Council spokesperson. “We will not hesitate to act in the defense of our interests and partners in the region.”
This relates to pro wrestling because WWE talent is scheduled to fly out to Saudi Arabia this week for Crown Jewel, which takes place this Saturday in Riyadh and will stream live on Peacock.
It appears that nothing has changed on WWE’s end (as of right now) in planning for the show because they just tweeted out that Alexa Bliss and Asuka will defend the Women’s Tag Team Titles against IYO SKY and Dakota Kai. The show will be headlined by Roman Reigns defending the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Logan Paul.
