AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door 3 is just months away as the two promotions continue growing their relationship and delivering classic matches.
Last year’s show pulled in a gate of $1.2 million with 13,600 fans in attendance and 13,100 paid. It was highly praised thanks to several classic matches, including Will Ospreay beating Kenny Omega for the IWGP United States Title and Bryan Danielson defeating Kazuchika Okada in the headliner
The expected location for the event was Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York, but that won’t happen as it will take place at UBS Arena in Elmont, NY, on Sunday, June 30th. AEW returns to pay-per-view this Sunday with Dynasty.
Cassidy Hayes of BodySlam.net has an update on STARDOM’s AZM working more in AEW after competing last Saturday on Collision.
AZM is slated to work Forbidden Door as AEW sources confirmed the news and he was told, “Anything is on the table for Forbidden Door.”
