Kayfabe is still alive in 2024, thanks to Austin Theory, who had a staged altercation with a reporter.
WWE is in Perth, Western Australia, for the Elimination Chamber that takes place on Saturday from the Optus Stadium. There are four matches, including the two chamber matches on tap for the show.
The West Australian’s editor-in-chief, Anthony De Ceglie, called wrestling fake while talking with Theory, leading to them having an “altercation,” which was filmed, and still shots were released. The story that was published was put on the back of the latest edition of the paper.
Based on the footage, it’s pretty clear this was not a real situation, although the paper is playing it up to be legit. Check out the fun below:
