WWE has a lot of talent under contract across NXT and the main roster for Raw and SmackDown, leaving some talent off television for various reasons. That includes lack of creative and injury.
Coming out of this year’s Draft, fans noticed that there was a missing name from being selected as part of the process and assigned a brand. That star is Tamina.
Tamina, the daughter of Jimmy Snuka, first signed with WWE in 2010 after breaking into the business the previous year. While with WWE, she held the 24/7 Title 9 times and was a one-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion.
Tamina hasn’t wrestled at all since the February 27, 2023, episode of Main Event, where she put over Michigan. The week before, she lost a tag team match on Main Event alongside Dana Brooke.
Her last PLE appearance was when she worked the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble Match. Nia Jax hinted in April 2023 that Tamina might be considering retirement.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Tamina has not been backstage at WWE shows. However, despite not being around or drafted, they were told she is still under contract as of now.
