Backstage News On WWE’s Permanent Production Change

WWE is trying new things out under the main roster creative vision of Triple H now that he is fully in charge of the product going forward, with Vince McMahon no longer with the company.

WrestleMania 40 is a highlight for many fans and people in WWE at a time when the company is doing record business and morale is at its best in decades. WWE has used different camera angles and changed up backstage segments.

They’ve also used special stage sets to accommodate larger crowds in arenas at bigger events such as TV and PLEs, including this past Monday night for Raw at the Wells Fargo Center.

As previously noted, WWE will be using minimal stage sets for Raw and SmackDown when possible for larger crowds. WWE already has plans to do the minimal stage set at SmackDown in June at Madison Square Garden

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Raw got between 4,000 and 5,000 extra fans in attendance by this special stage.

Meltzer added, “This setup is already planned for upcoming tapings in the bigger cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago and perhaps far more depending on how advances go.”
