Jade Cargill has been trending on social media following the news that she has left AEW and signed a multi-year deal with WWE.
After her deal expired, the former AEW TBS Champion finished up with AEW earlier this month. While it’s unknown which brand she will be part of when she makes her debut, she does and in the meantime, she’s currently training at the WWE Performance Center.
Becky Lynch, one of WWE’s biggest stars and the reigning NXT Women’s Champion, has weighed in on the signing while speaking to Joseph Staszewski of the New York Post.
“I watch all the products. I think it’s great. More women with more platforms. I think she has a lot of work to do when she gets here, but if she is willing to do that, just look at her. She’s a star. It’s more people for me to get in the ring with and kick their asses,” she said.
Lynch will defend the NXT Women’s Title against Tiffany Stratton in an Extreme Rules match this Saturday at No Mercy.
