WWE is preparing for not only its next premium live event but also one of the biggest shows of the year in SummerSlam on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan, that will air on Peacock.
SummerSlam has widely been considered the WrestleMania of the summer and WWE has plans in place to present a loaded card.
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor, Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes, and Ronda Rousey vs. Shayna Baszler are the matches confirmed for the show while Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso will be made official after tonight’s SmackDown. Pwinsider reports The Undertaker is slated to be in Detroit for Summerslam weekend. It should be noted that Taker doesn’t have one of his One Deadman shows in Detroit on this weekend, and it’s unclear exactly why he will be at the show.
It’s possible he is coming in to visit, film something for Peacock or speak at the talent tryouts.
