On the latest “Hall of Fame” podcast, WWE’s Booker T gave his thougths on some of the current wrestling hot topics.
Booker T gave a lot of praise to WWE NXT stars the Creed Brothers:
“They are one of those generational teams that come along few and far between. I think they’re gonna have a hell of a future being brothers doing this. Both of them got the right size. Both of those guys at their size are literally uncanny. It really is. I think time is going to do those guys a whole hell of a good and they could be one of those dynasty like teams, tag teams, you know, from back in the day like The Steiner Brothers, you know what I mean? Like a Harlem Heat, like a Nasty Boys, like a Road Warriors. Those guys could fall into that category right there.”
On Finn Balor:
“Finn Balor is doing some of his best work right now and I tell you that match with Carmelo Hayes was a breaking out moment for me with Finn Balor. I mean, not that I haven’t bought on what he’s been doing as of late, but when he went out and went to kicking Carmelo’s ass like it was a real fight, I was like, oh man, I like this Finn Balor here. This dude right here, this is the guy, and the thing is we know Finn Balor can fly. We know he could do all of the moves. He can do the flips. He can do all the dives and all of that, but this guy right here that we’re seeing is the Finn Balor that’s going to work at the main-event level, perhaps from this point of his career on.”
On Sting jumping off the ladder at Forbidden Door:
“What the hell was he thinking? This is something that I talk about all the time. You know, older guys wanting to go out there and live that dream and get that pop and have that rush from back in the day of how I felt. I don’t know, maybe this is the swan song. You know, I’m gonna go out and I’m gonna go out big and bold. But for me, that wasn’t smart at all. It could have literally been a disaster for Sting. The Seth Rollins thing definitely put Sting in a position where doing stuff like that is just not smart at all and I don’t want to see Sting get hurt doing something that these young kids are pulling off these days. That’s just my opinion.”
