It’s official. Former Universal Champion Braun Strowman is back with WWE.
Fightful reported earlier this week about discussions in regards to his return and PWInsider is reporting that he is scheduled to be at Monday Night Raw in a few days.
Strowman was released by WWE last year and there was talk that he could sign with Impact Wrestling or AEW but those rumors fizzled and the belief is that his price tag may have been a factor. Strowman has been pushing the Control Your Narrative independent promotion with EC3 in recent months.
Strowman’s return is somewhat surprising because many see him as a Vince McMahon guy who was brought in to be a monster on the main roster.
Strowman debuted as part of The Wyatt Family in 2015 and then was drafted to Raw in 2016 where he embarked on a singles career. He was pushed against some of the top stars, including Roman Reigns, and eventually won the Universal Championship.
Prior to his release last year, he was involved in a feud with Bray Wyatt and his last WWE match was a loss to Bobby Lashley on an episode of Monday Night Raw.
