PWInsider has a story up on what Fightful reported in regard to Brock Lesnar declining to wrestle Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 39.
The story confirms that Bray Wyatt vs. Lesnar was planned for Mania but on the day of the Elimination Chamber show, plans changed “likely due to Brock Lesnar’s request” and the finish of his match with Bobby Lashley was changed to a disqualification. Brock was originally booked to go over on Lashley at the Chamber show.
PWInsider also noted that Lesnar was saying farewell to some people and that he was “finishing up.” It was not said what “finishing up” meant. A source noted that Lesnar was not “necessarily” done on that night or even at WrestleMania. It remains to be seen if that means Brock is going to be hanging up the boots for good or if he will be taking another extended break. It’s worth noting that in previous years, Brock’s contract would typically expire around WrestleMania time so that might be what is going on here.
WWE is scheduled to go back to Saudi Arabia in May so one would think that Brock might appear on that show since it would mean a massive payday for him.
UPDATE via PWInsider:
No one at PWInsider reported Brock's WWE deal was up or that he was finished with pro wrestling. Incorrect versions of what was actually reported already floating around. Beware.
