Cameron Grimes Books His First-Post WWE Appearance

Cameron Grimes is slated to hit the independent wrestling scene yet again, news that comes shortly after his WWE departure.

Last month, Grimes was let go by the company alongside Von Wagner, Xyon Quinn, Veer, Sanga, Jinder Mahal, and Xia Li. Grimes stated in an interview with Busted Open Radio that he was told by a higher-up in WWE days before his release that he’d always have a job in WWE.

Grimes first made a name for himself in PWG and TNA Wrestling as Trevor Lee before signing with WWE, where he went to work in NXT. In 2019, he had a memorable feud with LA Knight and Ted DiBiase.

He had a run as the North American Champion. He was called up to the main roster in 2023 as part of the Draft, where he was moved to the SmackDown roster. Grimes last worked a match on April 12th in a loss to Bron Breakker.

Elevation Pro Wrestling announced that Grimes is going back to his Trevor Lee name when he appears at their Homecoming event that will take place on July 27.
